The "Snipe" (38) Wednesday, March 30, 2011

Hello and thanks for giving these comics a try. Hope you like them and come back again.

Did you know that The "Snipe" was created back in 1973? A couple of you were probably there at the time.  More of you probably weren't even born yet.

Please remember to send the link to this comics website to at least one of your friends or enemies.

Don't Tell Grandma Sunday March 27, 2011 (70)

Hello to friends, family, enemies, and strangers (friends or enemies I have not yet met). This is the 70th installment of Don't Tell Grandma.

I inked this one with a brush. Usually I use a pen. You possibly figured I draw this thing with a melty Hershey bar.  I like the way the brush lines look and I'll probably continue Grandma with brush inking.

The "Snipe" has to be drawn with a pen. Hey! I make the rules around here.

I wish I could figure out how to make a forward arrow and a back arrow for the comics so you could read them without having to scroll and navigate folders.  I'll have to ask my 7 year old granddaughter. Young people are great on computers.

The "Snipe" (36) Wednesday, March 6, 2011

Hello and welcome to Bob Lilly Comics and Stories.

Happy birthday to my grand girls, Maelee, who is 7 years old today and Caroline who I will meet this afternoon at the maternity hospital.

The "Snipe" is back to the 9 panel format. I think it works better than the 4 panel ones.

Happy birthday to Jerry Lewis.

The "Snipe" (35) Wednesday, March 9, 2011

OK.  I know this sounds nuts. I'm used to it. My theory is that all responsible adults will experience an average of two really crappy days out of a seven day week.  Usually these two days will be at work.

Today was one of mine so I made sure the "Snipe" had one just as bad.

See what I mean? Nuts!

I posted this comic on line and looked at some of the ads that Google selected for me. One ad was about "How to explain death to children".  I guess somebody else also had one of those days.

I am actually a very optimistic guy. That makes me a Jeckyl and Hyde Pollyanna.  My favorite optimistic tune is "Days Like This" by the great Van Morrison.  Download that tune, play it often. You will heal. Rats...Now the "Snipe" is feeling cross with ME.

Don't Tell Grandma Sunday March 6, 2011 (68)

Our little grandson, Harrison, who has lived in our house since he was born, just moved (with his parents) into a new home yesterday.  To cheer myself I went a little nuts on the warm bright colors when creating today's Don't Tell Grandma comic.

See ya soon.

The "Snipe" Wednesday March 2, 2011 (34)

They say that public speach and being in your underwear in public are commonly big time fears. That being said, don't mess with the "Snipe"
